    wow thats thorough! thanks. I dont really have problems with chickpeas but its a good reminder to soak them before boiling first. (sprouted tastes a bit funny for me then I have to add extra garlic and spices which overpowers the hummus) thank you :)

    In Greece, after soaking the chickpeas (preferably in filtered water), we drain them, add a little soda (bicarb) and leave for about an hour – then rinse well and boil in plenty of fresh (filtered) water for about 2hrs – adding seasonings to taste.
